First, we place a great deal of emphasis on the health and well-being of our beloved ragdolls, ensuring they thrive from day one. We prioritize genetic health through careful breeding practices, reproductive health assessments, infectious disease education and screenings, meticulous record keeping, and by weeding out hereditary risks like HCM, PKD, PRA and more through DNA testing. In addition, we focus on proper nutrition, provide intellectual activities, enhanced socialization, and plenty of love and affection for their emotional well-being. We provide comprehensive pre-placement veterinary care, including vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter, as well as a health guarantee and an “in-case” FIP treatment offer so you can bring your new kitten home with the confidence in knowing we’ve done everything to the best of our ability to ensure your new companion will remain healthy. Lastly, we remain up-to-date on advancements in medicine that could influence how we breed, treat, and care for our dams, sires, and kittens.
While health is a core issue we put a lot of effort into, we recognize that the ragdoll is a beautiful breed that should be treasured for their unique features. Traditional ragdolls are pointed cats, meaning they have a darker face, nose, legs and tail than the rest of their body. Plus, they are always born white and must have blue eyes! This gorgeous feature is one for which they are well known! Ragdolls also come variations, so while the colorpoint ragdoll, like Toasty, has dark legs, tail, ears and face, there are bicolor ragdolls with white that travels from the legs up through the chest and into an upside down V on the face like Bunnie and Ivy have. Ragdolls also come in the mitted variation, which differ from colorpoint in that they have white “mittens,” like Bailey. They can also have a lynx overlay, also referred to as tabby, as you see on Ivy. At this time, we are focusing on traditional colorpoint, bicolor, and mitted ragdolls and those with and without the lynx overlay. The other form of ragdoll, which was designated by TICA to be a division of ragdoll in 2024, is called a cherubim. They are adorable and sweet, but this is not what we are focusing our cattery on at this time. Our ragdolls are all traditional pointed ragdolls.
We believe in ensuring that each of our ragdolls has “the well-known ragdoll temperament” they are known for, so we do all we can to socialize them to be the best cat they can be. All cats are individuals, however, and may not take on the exact personality one would expect of a ragdoll, but in that, we also realize that there are cat lovers that want their ragdoll to give them affection and cuddles all the time, and also those that want their cat to play and be affectionate, but also to not be overly needy. It’s important to ensure that the best temperament match for a particular family is the one that becomes part of that family.
We provide a loving home where our kittens are cage free, running around among us! They are socialized with care, learning to trust, bond and play with people and other pets alike. Our dams of the sweetest ragdolls I’ve ever encountered. We have two that want to be cuddled and held all the time and one that is more independent, but still likes to be picked up, likes to hang out in the same room we are in, likes to be played with, but she isn’t quite as attention-seeking as the other two are. This is why we also focus on our buying families just as much as the ragdoll’s temperament: to ensure the ragdoll they are looking for will fit into their family and lifestyle. It is true that not every person has the ability to be with their cat 24/7. It’s important to be there as much as possible with any animal, but life doesn’t afford all of us that opportunity. If we recognize that a buyer is a person who works many hours outside the home, doesn’t have the energy for a needy kitten, and isn’t really a lap-cat type of person, we will be honest with you and point out the kittens that might fit your lifestyle better, as we can likely determine the personality of each kitten pretty well from spending so much time with each one. That being said, we will be honest with you and tell you, even if the best fit for you is not one of ours. While we do allow our buyers to choose their kitten, we will make a suggestion of this or that cat based on how we see the personality develop and if there might be a better one for their particular situation. And if it comes down to it, we may even suggest a breed that might be a better fit. We don’t want to sell cats just to sell cats. We want to build healthy human-pet families!
Our commitment extends beyond health, beauty and temperament; the care and love each and every kitten will receive comes from a desire to give these kittens the best start at their new life! We focus on everything from the nutrition we provide to the various types of bowls and fountains we use. We supply numerous litter boxes so that there is always a clean place for our cats to do their business. We provide oodles of toys and enrichment activities to keep their mind sharp and their body in good form. They have cuddle time, play time, and yes, they may want their alone time, and when they do, we give it to them. We provide a schedule, always feeding wet food at the same time of day so that our cats can count on us to give them structure and the knowledge that their needs will be taken care of. This is essential to having a happy, healthy cat.
Lastly, we want our buyers to be part of our ragdoll family! We love to see your kitten grow and love to hear updates and see pictures! And we’d love to be your first choice if you decide to add an additional ragdoll to your family so that we can grow with you and your kittens over the years! Afterall, you are not simply investing in a pet, but rather a cherished feline member of your family, destined to bring love and joy into your home.
