The Following Assurances Apply

Pre-placement Guarantees

1. With receipt of a deposit and signed contract, the kitten will be held for the buyer, prohibiting the seller from selling the cat/kitten to another interested party.

a. If kittens are too young to choose, your deposit will place you on a waitlist, which will hold your spot in line for choosing a kitten. Waitlists are based on first come, first served bases according to deposit date. Contract will not need to be signed until the kitten is chosen.

b. No deposit is required to be added to the waitlist while we have no litters. Once litters begin to arrive the deposit will be required to choose your desired kitten.

2. The seller guarantees that this cat/kitten is a pedigreed ragdoll and is sold in good health. Prior to the buyer’s receipt of said cat/kitten, he/she will be seen by a veterinarian and cleared for placement.

a. We make every effort to ensure the health of our kittens before leaving our care, however, please be aware that veterinary appointments, other pets or even what you bring in on your shoes can expose them to illness.

3. If at any point prior to placement date the kitten develops symptoms of an illness or Ragdoll Reverie’s veterinarian determines that the cat/kitten is not ready to leave the mother/breeder’s care, the seller will postpone placement until the cat/kitten has recovered/is ready. The seller assures the buyer will receive full medical notes of any issues/illness/treatments with a plan of action.

a. For common non-life-threatening illnesses the buyer will wait until the cat/kitten is in good health, possibly postponing the scheduled placement date. If, after three weeks, the cat/kitten has not recovered fully he/she will again be seen by our veterinarian at the seller’s expense, (or sooner as needed) and the buyer will be notified of the new plan of action. At this time, the buyer will be permitted to

⬩ wait longer for their chosen cat to receive clearance from the veterinarian with all costs associated with care and treatment being the responsibility of the seller.

⬩ choose another available cat/kitten of the same quality, gender, color and pattern from the current litter.

⬩ choose another cat of another sex, color, pattern, but same quality.

⬩ choose another cat of another quality

⚬ If the reserved cat/kitten is pet quality, the buyer may choose a show-quality cat/kitten and pay the difference in cost.

⚬ If the reserved kitten is a show-quality cat/kitten, the buyer may choose a pet quality cat/kitten and receive the difference.

⬩ wait for a cat/kitten of the same gender, color, pattern and quality from a future litter.

⚬ If, after 3 litters, the buyer still has not chosen a cat/kitten, they will receive a full refund unless other arrangements are agreed upon and an addendum to the contract is made and signed by all parties.

⚬ request a refund of the deposit and part ways.

Life-threatening congenital defect Death and FIP Death warranties apply to the following:

1.      5-year Warranty Offer against death due to one of the following three congenital defects:

a.     HCM, PKD, or PRA Death: The seller guarantees that the kitten’s sire and dam have been DNA tested against and are considered not at risk of having or carrying HCM, PKD, and PRA. A report can be shown at the time of the contract signing, if desired.

⬩    If the death of the cat/kitten occurs due to any of the above fatal genetic defects within 5 years of the kitten’s date of birth, entitles the buyer to a cat/kitten of the same quality, gender, approximate age, color, and pattern, (up to the age of 1 year), to be chosen by the seller. (*see Warranty Rules for specifics)

⚬       A necropsy report and treatment documentation must be provided to the seller within 120 days of the cat/kitten’s death. (see Warranty Rules for specifics)

b.    FIP Death: FIP is a rare genetic mutation that some cats carry and can lie dormant until their system is triggered by another common illness called FCoV. Most cats will never get FIP, even if they are diagnosed with FCoV. FCoV by itself is usually relatively mild. It is only those cats that have the genetic mutation that can suffer from FIP.

⬩     There is no test that shows if a cat is predisposed to getting FIP or is definitively diagnosed with FIP unless the cat dies of FIP and an autopsy is performed. (see Warranty Rules for specifics)

⬩     If a kitten from our cattery dies in the first year of life and the death is proven to be the result of FIP, the buyer is entitled to receive a cat/kitten of the same gender, approximate age, color, pattern, and value, to be chosen by the seller. (see Warranty Rules for specifics)

⚬     A necropsy report and treatment documentation for the cat/kitten must be provided to the seller within 30 days of the cat/kitten’s death. (see Warranty Rules for specifics)

FIP Illness Treatment Offer

1.     If, in first year of the kitten’s life, the veterinarian determines to the best of their ability that the cat/kitten likely has FIP, If the buyer’s veterinarian recommends FIP treatment using the GS-441524 prescription medication, the seller will contribute up to $300 toward the cost of the prescription. (see Warranty Rules for specifics)

a.    If your veterinarian recommends FIP treatment using the GS-441524 prescription medication, the seller will contribute up to $300 toward the cost of the treatment. (see Warranty Rules for specifics)

b.    We want to help you give the kitten the best chance of survival, so we offer this rebate to help offset the cost of the prescription. This is given in the form of a rebate and is offered only by Ragdoll Reverie, and not sponsored by any pharmacy, pharmaceutical company, or organization, nor do we profit from any pharmacy, pharmaceutical company or organization.

c.   Upon GS-441524 treatment verification and subsequent survival of FIP, the seller will contribute up to $300 rebate toward prescription costs. If the kitten dies of FIP, despite being treated with GS-441524, the buyer will receive another kitten in lieu of monetary payment. (see Warranty Rules for specifics)
